Somewhere far below in Egypt lies an ancient hidden tomb. On the surface, it is a temple worshipping the crocodile headed god Sobek. But upon closer inspection, what lies within is far more ancient...
An assignment for my CG399 module at Digipen Institute of Technology Singapore. It is a level built in Unreal Engine 4, themed around an ancient Egyptian tomb which hides a prehistoric secret. I felt it would be interesting to juxtapose both ideas, and incorporate dinosaurs native to Egypt into the design. The giant sarcophagus is for a Spinosaurus instead of a human Pharaoh, and within the walls are buried more specimens as well as Carcharodontosaurus. The cartouches indicate that the Spinosaur is believed to be a beast of Sobek himself, and was supposedly the last of its kind.
I plan to iterate further on this map in the future, but for now, it's done.
