I got the opportunity to work on some of the new tools in AC: Mirage, which included the Smoke Bomb and Noisemaker.
For the Smoke Bomb, I did some initial exploration work on how the smoke would behave and created the first prototypes for the regular Smoke bomb without upgrades, and worked mostly on the technical components and integration for the Flammable upgrade and tool aiming.
For the Noisemaker, I also did some initial exploration and created the effects, which mostly ended up being used for the Fireworks upgrade for the Noisemaker.
The final version is a combined effort of myself and the VFX teams in Singapore and Bordeaux, including some modifications to allow the upgrades to change the effects in a modular fashion for each of the tool upgrades, and various visual improvements.
