Beech Forest Biome // Assassin's Creed Valhalla - Siege of Paris

I was responsible for a couple of procedural scatter recipes for Biomes in Francia. One of them was the Beech Forest biome with closely packed Beech trees of different sizes in a "cathedral" - like effect. It was mainly inspired by the Lyons-la-Forêt Beech forest with it's mostly flat and gentle slopes with a lot of verticality with it's trees and bed of blue - purple flowers. Due to the lack of tall vertical Beech trees in the main game I made some thin taller variants as well.

Props to the Object Bank team for the beautiful vegetation assets and the Lighting team who worked on the slightly foggy atmosphere! I also worked quite closely with Biome Texture Artist Monica (https://www.artstation.com/mmonica) who worked on the terrain textures/materials which the recipe makes use of.
